REMMITTANCE OF PAYMENT AND BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS 

It is mandatory that all payments on account of tours to Bhutan are routed through the Department of Tourism (DoT) - and not be paid directly to the local tour operator. This requirement and the subsequent method of disbursement of payment to the tour operator has a built-in mechanism that provides for protection to the tourists visiting Bhutan – in the event a dispute should arise between the tourist and the tour operator or in case a tourist is not satisfied with the services of the tour operator. 

The Department of Tourism requires that full payment be made by ELECTRONIC TRANSFER or TT - into their account before they process for Visa with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Druk air will not issue tickets unless the Visa clearance is first obtained.
